Waterman Exception Slim Black Gold
The Waterman Exception Slim Black Gold fountain pen with gold trim is square in shape but certainly not in style. This pen is the new flagship line for Waterman and has a quadrangular cross section on both the cap and barrel. Decked out in deep black lacquer, this pen takes a classic color combination and gives it a modern, geometric twist.
An exception is something that does not follow a rule, and Waterman's new Exception Slim line of fountain pens breaks free of all conventions. With its quadrangular body that tapers into a rounded shape at the section for easier use, the Exception Slim manages to be both visually unique and fully functional at the same time. And don't let the word "slim" deceive you - slim only in comparison to the generously sized Exception standard, this is a full-sized pen that will be a comfortable fit for most users.
The Waterman logo is engraved on the wide ring band on both the front and the back. On another of the four sides "France" is engraved to indicate Waterman's home base.
The black gripping section of the Exception Slim is contoured so that it matches the square shape of the barrel at its base, then tapers towards the nib. Attention to ergonomic detail is a hallmark of the contemporary Waterman brand.
