Waterman Exception Night and Day Black
The Waterman Exception in black provides an exceptional writing experience. This is the larger model with an quadrangular body and a tapered gripping section. Dressed up in black and white metal and sporting the traditional open Waterman clip this pen is equally at home at a formal dinner and in a writer's desk.

At first glance the Waterman Exception Night and Day Black fountain pen may appear as black as the night, but upon closer inspection thin stripes etched on two of the panels break the solid lacquer like a subtle sunrise. The square cross-section of the cap and barrel always let your fingers know where this pen is in your hand. Rhodium trim finishes the look with a bright daylight reflection.
The Exception is a surprisingly well-balanced pen.
Notice the precision-cut design of the open rhodium clip, a design feature that Waterman has used since the 1960s, which complements the quadrangular shape of the pen.
