Created in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of Da Vinci's passing, the Machina Vermeil highlights Visconti's flair for imaginative design and exquisite craftsmanship. The cap and barrel feature details taken from the technical drawings for some of Da Vinci's revolutionary machines collected in the famous Codex Atlanticus preserved in the Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan, while the colored pigment is a tribute to Da Vinci's famous red chalk drawings. The focus on craft and innovative design extends to the hand-crafted icosahedron-shaped gift box, which has a hinged-lid and opens to feature a gear shape that holds the pen.

Not just an exceptional work of craft in its own right, the Machina Vermeil is also a highly practical writing instrument well-suited for daily usage. Visconti's unique Power Fill system allows the use of any bottled fountain pen ink, and the high capacity reservoir allows for long sessions of writing without the need to stop and refill.

Our complimentary nib tuning completes the experience by ensuring that your Visconti fountain pen will have writing qualities equal to its appearance, and our optional nib customizations can add to the character and distinctiveness of your writing on the page.
