Visconti introduces its new 14k solid gold in-house nib with the Homo Sapiens Lava Color series, seen here in the icy white Blizzard version. Catalyzed basaltic lava from Mt. Edna is treated with a stain-resistant finish to create the unique texture and appearance of the pen body.

Visconti joins the ranks of the very small number of European pen manufacturers who also craft their own nibs with this new line of 14k solid gold nibs. Each nib is hand-crafted at the Visconti workshop in Florence. Visconti is introducing these nibs in the new Lava Color series, which adds subtle matte earth hues to the famous Homo Sapiens line.
Visconti's patented power-fill system allows this pen to use any bottled fountain pen ink, and the pen is equipped with a unique magnetic closing system which makes opening and closing the pen an ease. Each pen ships in an attractive presentation box, adding to its value as a very special gift item.
