Utilizing one of the most unique materials ever used for a pen body, the Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age Mid-Size fountain pen features an outer layer of shaped basaltic lava over a resin body to create a truly memorable writing instrument. The pen is provided with your choice of black-coated 23k palladium nib.

Mt. Etna on the east coast of Sicily serves as the source for the basaltic lava used for this surface of this fountain pen, while ruthenium trim and black-coating over the 23k palladium nib serve to accent the smoky hues of this writing instrument. The pen fills using Visconti's proprietary vacuum Power Fill system, which provides for a generous ink capacity and allows for the use of any bottled fountain pen ink.
