Vintage Parker Duofold "Special" Long Streamline Red c. 1930
Very few Parker Duofold Specials were ever made. This one appears to be of Danish production, as it has the barrel imprint of an anchor in a circle with the letters "C" and "O" adjacent. It is a "stretch" version of the Duofold Junior, with greater ink capacity (0.9ml). A formerly engraved name has been removed from the barrel, resulting in a noticeable flat spot. The "Lucky Curve" imprint is crisp and clear.
The correct Parker USA solid gold Fine nib is a generous, free-flowing writer that puts down a juicy wet line. It has a pleasant toothy feeling on the page similar to a contemporary Platinum nib, or a hard-leaded pencil.
Owing to the flat spot on the barrel, this pre-owned fountain pen is listed in Very Good condition.

Unless otherwise requested, this pre-owned Parker Duofold "Special" Long Streamline Red fountain pen will be fully tested and then tuned to your own personal writing preferences before shipping.
As a rule, our optional nib customizations are not recommended for a pen of this caliber and vintage. If you have a strong preference for a specific nib style, please include this in your order notes. The workshop will determine if we can accommodate your request.
