Inspired by the season of autumn, the Taccia Reserve Maki-e Autumn's Brushes showcases fine writing instrument design and composition.
Ebonite is a classic material for quality writing instruments, and the Autumn's Brushes fountain pen has an ebonite barrel which is coated with over 40 layers of Urushi lacquer.
The motif, conveying the warmth of autumn and reminiscent of crunchy fall leaves, is created using raden and gold powder sprinkled throughout.This time-intensive process takes at least 120 days to complete.
Gold powder is even sprinkled on the gripping section, demonstrating Taccia's excellent attention to detail. With many layers of Urushi lacquer, the finish and section are exceptionally smooth to the touch. Only 50 pieces of Autumn's Brushes are available worldwide, and we have managed to secure a small number for our customers.
