Besides the specially engraved nib, each pen also has a unique serial number marked on the end of the barrel, while the finial features the newest version of Sailor's famous anchor logo. Blue Dawn is Sailor's new corporate color, and is augmented with fine glass Meta Shine particles.

The pen can fill with any bottled ink when fitted with the provided converter, and can also use convenient Sailor brand disposable ink cartridges, now available in over twenty unique nuanced hues.
