Brier Wood (or briarwood, as it is referred to by some other manufacturers) is often associated with fine furniture and cigar pipes, but it makes an excellent surface for quality fountain pens as well. The rich pairing of brown brier wood and and gold trim is suggestive of casual luxury and reflective contemplation.
The pen arrives in an attractive wooden presentation box and includes a complimentary bottle of Sailor ink. This is a cartridge-converter pen which can use either Sailor brand cartridges or any bottled fountain pen ink when equipped with the supplied converter.
