Sailor 1911 Full-Size Creatures of the Deep Seahorse Limited Edition
One of the most colorful offerings in this series of limited edition pens, the Sailor 1911 Full-Size Creatures of the Deep Seahorse is both a delight for the eyes and also an extremely practical and elegant everyday writing instrument. Just 88 numbered pieces have been produced worldwide.

Sailor released the Creatures of the Deep Limited Edition series in 2007. Just 88 numbered pens in each of the ten motifs were produced. We have had one complete set, #16, kept unopened and untouched, and are now making each of these last remaining pens available for individual sale.
The motif on each Creatures of the Deep pen was designed by noted Maki-e artist Koushu Nishihara, who was trained in the traditional craft center of Wajima on the west coast of Japan. Each Creatures of the Deep pen includes a special wood presentation box with all papers and documentation, as well as a polishing cloth, converter, and a now-vintage Sailor Jentle Ink in the classic style bottle - though we don't recommend using the ink after all this time, the unopened bottle does add to the collectibility of the pen.
