Platinum 3776 Century Chartres Blue Rhodium
Previously only available in a gold trim version, Platinum's Century Chartres Blue Rhodium Trim fountain pen adds a cool-tone writing instrument to the repertoire of 3776 Century Series pens. A semi-translucent blue cap and barrel allow for subtle glimpses into the inner workings of this pen.
The Platinum 3776 Century Chartres Blue Rhodium Trim Fountain Pen is made of semi-transparent acrylic and is available with your choice of 14k solid gold rhodium-plated nib.
This is a durable and well-designed cartridge-converter pen. It can be filled either with bottled fountain pen ink using the provided converter, or with Platinum brand ink cartridges. This pen can also utilize Nakaya's hand-painted Maki-e converters. The Chartres Blue Rhodium Trim showcases Platinum's new Slip and Seal technology, designed to keep ink fresh and the pen ready to write.
Take a closer look at the semi-transparent barrel and the rhodium trim. You can see that "3776" is etched into the wide cap band, adding a personalized touch. "3776" refers to the height in meters of Mt. Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan. The "Chartres blue" color has been modeled in the likeness of the blue found in the world-renowned stained glass windows of the historic Chartres Cathedral in France.

Unless requested otherwise, each pen or nib you purchase from us will be carefully examined, tested, and optimized for your personal writing characteristics before it ships.
