The village of Oshino in the Fuji Five Lakes region of Yamanashi Prefecture is famous for a series of eight fresh water ponds fed by natural springs from the snow melt on Mt. Fuji. The Oshino Demonstrator is inspired by these natural springs, known for their cool, clear water. The first three thousand pens include a special blotter card with serial number, adding to the pen's collectibility.
The Oshino utilizes Platinum's convenient cartridge-converter system - the pen can be filled with any bottled fountain pen ink when using the provided converter, and can also use disposable Platinum brand cartridges.
Each pen will be inspected, tested, and adjusted for your personal writing characteristics by us before shipping to you. Platinum's 14k nibs also make an excellent starting point for many our nib customizations, including, when the Fine Soft nib is selected, our well-known Spencerian modification. We are an authorized Platinum dealer.
