This is the finest pen I have ever had the pleasure of using daily. The barrel width allows for a comfortable writing position for the hand, the filling mechanism is easy to use and corresponds to a very large ink reservoir, and the rhodium-plated nib is incredibly pleasant to write with, even on papers that don't usually lend themselves to fountain pens. The fact that it's a demonstrator adds to the utility of the pen: one can see exactly how much ink remains. The aesthetics of the pen are also delightful: everything is in its right place, and no space feels wasted or too cluttered.

Needless to say, Pelikan is a solid pen maker and this pen is no different. This beautiful demonstrator is very functional. Comfortable to write with, smooth and great flow.  The excellent nib setup adds immensely to the enjoyment, right out of the box.

I was hoping it would not feel too light, as I like a pen with a bit of heft. The metal insides give it just that right amount of solidity without feeling too heavy. Great pen for long writing sessions.

Paired with a smooth flowing lubricated ink such as Pelikan's Edelstein or Noodler Eel series (personal favorites), and you have one great daily writer!

This is the perfect pen, I was looking at various Pelikans and stumbled upon this M805 Demonstrator. This pen looks and feels amazing, I was initially worried about it being a bit light as it is mainly made of clear resin, but after writing with it the weight is perfect and the pen is balanced without having to post it. Also, I ordered this pen with a medium nib ground into a stub and can't express how happy I am with it. The nib is perfectly smooth with a hint of feedback to let you know that you're touching the paper, the flow is also perfect especially to get some shading out of inks. Overall I would strongly recommend this pen to people looking for a smooth writing demonstrator that has a good ink capacity with the piston filler. I would also highly recommend the services offered by Nibs.com, I expected the order to take a long time to process with the custom grind, however to my delight it only took about a day before the pen was shipped out, also the grind is perfect.
