Pelikan Maki-e Phoenix Limited Edition
Being produced in just 123 numbered pieces worldwide, the Pelikan Maki-e Phoenix is a stunning fusion of traditional Japanese art and modern German pen manufacture. Normally provided with only limited nib choices, we offer this pen with your choice from among the full line of Pelikan M1000 18k solid gold nibs.
Our complimentary nib tuning adjusts optimum pressure and ink flow to your own personal preferences. Pelikan M1000 nibs also make an excellent starting point for many of our most popular nib customizations. Collectors wishing to receive the pen uninked can indicate this in the notes when ordering.
The Phoenix is considered a noble and auspicious symbol in Asian art, representative of the entire universe. It has also been the avatar of the Chinese empress, and considered as a spirit that mediates between God and mankind.
In addition to the exquisite Maki-e work itself, each pen is hand-numbered, and the artist's signature also included in Maki-e. Each pen ships in a special Asian paulownia wood presentation box. We are an authorized Pelikan retailer.
