The green stripe Pelikan has been a classic icon since the green stripe 400 series fountain pens were first introduced in 1950.

 


This is a pen for users who enjoy a more than full-sized pen. The M1000 actually writes very differently than the slightly smaller M800; this nib is larger, the tines are longer, and it is naturally semi-flexible due to its size. If you write with medium to heavy pressure you will find that this pen delivers more ink than most fountain pens. We call it juicy.  (an attribute of the large size semi-flexible nib).

 



As with all the Souverän series Pelikan pens, the M1000 is a piston-filler, able to fill smoothly using any bottled fountain pen ink.


We are able to provide this pen with any of Pelikan's M1000 18k two-tone nib units and extra units as well.

Unless requested otherwise, each pen or nib you purchase from us will be carefully examined, tested, and optimized for your personal writing characteristics. Please note that Pelikan M1000/M1005 nib units will tend to have a somewhat wetter ink flow regardless of personal writing preferences indicated.
