A winding ribbon of genuine celluloid circles the shaft of this fountain pen, and a red ruby sits at the center of each of the four palladium-plated stars.
Strictly limited to a run of only 420, each pen is engraved and marked with its own individual number on the filling knob.

The use of celluloid in the winding ribbon constitutes a double homage: besides being used as the basis for film stock itself, celluloid was also frequently utilized for pen body construction during the first half of the twentieth century.

Early celluloid contained highly flammable nitro cellulose which in time have proven harmful to both classic films and vintage pens - we're happy to say that the modern substance used here is far safer for both your pen and you.
