Only 300 pieces are being made available worldwide, and we have been able to secure a very small number for our customers. Each pen ships in a traditional Japanese Paulownia wood gift box.


Raden is highly prized for its use in Japanese traditional crafts. For the M1000 Sunlight, thin strips from the precious heart of the abalone shell are carefully flattened and then hand-applied to the surface of the pen, which is then finished with multiple layers of lacquer. The Maki-e artist then individually signs and numbers each pen.


At the heart of each M1000 Starlight is Pelikan's renowned piston-filler system, which allows for filling from any bottled fountain pen ink - this pen has one of the largest ink capacities of any piston-filler currently available.


Made available by Pelikan only in Medium, we are able to provide this pen with any of Pelikan's big soft and juicy M1000 18k two-tone nib units. Multiple nib units are available for this pen.

These 18k Pelikan nib units are well-suited to customizations including Stub, Cursive Italic, or Left Oblique Now in stock, we have only a very limited number of these pens available - once they are gone, there will be no more.
