Parker Duofold Craft of Traveling Limited Edition

Both commemorating its 130th anniversary as a company and paying homage to its founder, George Safford Parker, the Parker Duofold Craft of Traveling Limited Edition is being produced in just 1300 numbered pieces worldwide, of which less than fifty are being made available in North America.

The collectibility of this beautifully crafted fountain pen is augmented by the whimsical and imaginative packaging, which includes a luxury gift box designed to resemble a vintage luggage bag. We are receiving just a very small number of these pens, after which no more will be available.

Parker founder George Safford Parker was a frequent and enthusiastic traveler, and the Craft of Traveling Limited Edition is designed to commemorate his world-wide journeys. Parker would begin his travels by crossing the Atlantic to Europe and then traveling towards the Far East.

Parker's travels included a visit to Paris in 1900, where he attended the Exposition Universelle. South America, the Mideast, and Asia were all destinations he frequented, and it was a trip to Japan that inspired the classic Mandarin Yellow Duofold.

The thought and skill that has gone into the design and engineering of this pen matches the passion and inventiveness that Parker himself brought to his company. An 18k solid gold two-tone nib with a special compass motif designed especially for this edition offers the writing qualities for which the Parker Duofold is known, while the pen body is brass with laser-engraved golden map lines over deep blue lacquer.

A lapis lazuli gemstone, unique to each individual pen, is set in the cap crown, while the cap pattern is inspired by globe diagrams as seen from the poles. The vintage luggage-style presentation box includes a map, a limited edition ink bottle and ink cartridges, a removable pen holder, and a certificate of authenticity signed by Geoffrey Parker, George Safford Parker's Great-Grandson. Each pen is manually assembled at the Parker workshop in Nantes, France.

As with any pen you purchase from us, the Parker Duofold Craft of Traveling Limited Edition qualifies for our complimentary nib tuning services, which help ensure that your fountain pen will have writing qualities equal to its beautiful appearance. Our exclusive nib customizations can add additional flair and distinctiveness to your writing on the page. We are an authorized Parker dealer.
