Namiki Yukari Royale Parrot with Peach
A whimsical and idyllic depiction of the natural world, the Namiki Yukari Royale Parrot With Peach is a lively, colorful Maki-e pen that will be the highlight of many a collection. The parrot is found in southern China, and symbolizes marriage, fidelty, and loyalty. Similarly, the peach is also a representation of marriage, as well as life and immortality. The peach-tree of the gods was said to bear the fruit of eternal life.
Gold dust sprinkled throughout the design creates a rich frame for the revered parrot as it perches on the peachtree branch. Pearlescent blues, greens, and corals round out the color palette and help the design stand out against the black background.

The presentation box is made of a light wood and is red velvet-lined, with a bottle of ink provided.
