With its simple, slender shape and jet black background, the Nakaya Portable Cigar Art Model Tulip fountain pen provides an elegant showcase for a garden of tulips. Each flower is hand-painted using acrylic powders, creating unique variety on each pen. The pen body is made from high-quality acrylic resin, rather than Nakaya's traditional ebonite, in order to accommodate this special painting technique. Urushi lacquer on the finish adds shine.
Notice the stunning design details on the barrel. Brightly colored tulips in shades of yellow, orange, and red grow amongst lush green leaves. Between the tulips small blue flowers add a touch of color contrast.

These smooth-writing 14k nibs are also well-suited to customizations including Stub, Cursive Italic, or Left Oblique, as well as the modification for added flex.
Nakaya pens ship in a solid softwood shipping box decorated with Japanese Kanji script and lined with decorative rice paper. A fabric pen "kimono" and starter box of Platinum brand cartridges are also included, making this pen a lovely presentation item.
