This is the smooth and slender Nakaya Portable. These pens are hand turned from solid rod stock, then lacquered with multiple layers of natural resins. This "stone finish" fountain pen, seen here in the Kuro-tamenuri color, is a pleasure to hold and use.

The surface provides just the right combination of smooth and textured finish to feel great between the fingers.
Because this stone-finish texture is carried all the way through to the gripping section, the tactile properties of this pen are realized to the fullest possible extent. This model, the "Cigar" without clip, provides a clear view of the form of the pen. We suggest a Pen Pillow with all "Cigar" models to keep them exactly where you want them on your desk.
The color in this pen varies between the lighter top color and the deeper tones in the recesses. This highly controlled surface is masterfully applied to the pen.
Each of these nibs is suitable for our customization to extra flexible. The medium, broad and extra broad tips can be customized to a cursive italic, stub or oblique point.
