This is the Nakaya Long size Writer (with clip) fountain pen. It is hand turned from solid hard rubber rod stock, then lacquered with multiple layers of red pigmented urushi resins. The matte finish distinguishes it from the polished shu (red).

The Nakaya Long Writer Unpolished Shu fountain pen takes this protracted writing instrument to a whole new level with its rich matte red finish. An earthy terra cotta color, the Unpolished Shu showcases the streamlined shape of this pen.
