This is the Nakaya Long Size Writer (with clip). This pen is hand turned from solid hard rubber rod stock, then lacquered with multiple layers contrasting colored natural urushi resins.

The beauty of the Long Writer is its simple elegance. We find that posting the cap on the back of the barrel is unnecessary with a pen of this length, as the balance feels just right in the hand.
The long gripping section, also coated in the stone-finish (Ishi-me Kan-shitsu) has a sensuous feel between the fingers. This Long model, the "Writer", with clip, has the added practicality of a pocket clip. Although it is too long for all but the deepest pockets. the clip serves as a roll-stopper, keeping the pen from rolling onto the floor from a smooth desk surface.
Each of these nibs is suitable for our customization to add flexibility. The medium, broad and extra broad tip can be customized into a cursive italic, stub or oblique point.
