A classic fountain pen color realized in natural urushi finish, the Nakaya Desk Pen Araishu showcases the sleek minimalism of this company's style. Each pen is hand-turned from ebonite hard rubber, then hand-finished in the traditional craft center of Wajima on the west coast of Japan.
Our complimentary nib tuning completes the process by adjusting optimal pressure and ink flow to your own personal writing preferences. Our optional nib customizations can provide for additional character and distinctiveness in your writing on the page. We are the sole authorized Nakaya dealer in the English-speaking world.
Nakaya Desk Pens are highly versatile writing instruments with or without the purchase of an optional Desk Pen Stand. We can fit your pen with your choice of Nakaya 14k solid gold nib, itself hand-crafted in a complex multi-step process. The cartridge-converter filling system allows for the use of any bottled fountain pen ink, or Platinum brand disposable ink cartridges.
Each Nakaya pen ships in a special pauwolina wood presention box with kanji style script. A fabric pen kimono, ink converter, and starter pack of ink cartridges are also included.
