Nakaya Decapod Writer Midori-tamenuri
The Nakaya Decapod Writer in Midori-tamenuri provides an ideal canvas for this layered tamenuri finish. Hand-turned from naturally harvested ebonite hard rubber, and hand-finished in natural urushi lacquer, each requires six months or more to be completed.
Each pen qualifies for our complimentary nib tuning services, and Nakaya's 14k solid gold nibs provide an excellent starting point for many of our nib customizations, including our exclusive Spencerian modification. Many customers report that the faceted Decapod pens provide a particularly comfortable grip when using advanced customizations such as the Spencerian, Formal Italic, or Reverse Oblique.

Each Nakaya pen ships in a softwood presentation box with kanji decoration. A fabric pen kimono, starter box of cartridges, and complimentary ink converter (allowing for the use of any bottled fountain pen ink) is also provided.
