Moore Fingertip Fountain Pen with Fine firm nib Very Good Condition Ca. 1950
The Moore Fingertip fountain pen has a unique 14Kt. gold inlaid nib in a stainless steel nose cone. It was an answer to the extremely successful Parker 51 pen, but came late to the 1940's fixation with enclosed nibs. For that reason the entire series of Moore Fingertip pens are scarce and have become collectors items. Except for some corrosion visible on the nose cone and on the cap band, this pen is in very good condition. It comes with a fresh bladder and firm fine point. This one is a model 96-B and was one of the very few pens manufactured in Massachusetts.
