Like all Aurora pens, the Nebulosa Rose Gold is produced at the Aurora factory in Turin, Italy. The cap and body have been crafted from Auroloide, Aurora's proprietary cellulose acetate derivative. Aurora is also unique among European pen manufacturers in producing their own solid gold nib units.

Aurora's piston-fill system provides a generous ink capacity and allows this pen to be filled using any bottled fountain pen ink. A special ink window just past the section gives ample notice of when it's time to refill, and Aurora literally adds an extra twist - turn the piston knob after the pen has seemingly run out of ink and a small additional reservoir will be released, allowing writing to continue until the user finds time to refill.
