With its warm brown finish and chartreuse green peeking from beneath the outer layers, Nakaya's Portable Cigar Heki-tamenuri fountain pen showcases striking Urushi lacquer on a smooth and slender model. This clipless version allows the rich color to saturate the entire surface of the Portable pen, reflecting light with its curves.
The Nakaya Portable Cigar Heki-tamenuri fountain pen is handcrafted from ebonite and Urushi lacquer, and comes standard with solid gold 14k single-tone nib in your choice of tipping size.
As with all hand-painted Tame-nuri pens, the colors will vary slightly from pen to pen - no two will ever be exactly the same. With time, the brown outer dark layer will grow more transparent, allowing the green Heki under-layer to show through. This is a mid-size pen that fits comfortably in most hands.
14k nibs are well-suited to customizations including Stub, Cursive Italic, and Left Oblique, as well as the modification for added flex.
