The Taccia Kaku-Tate Thin Stripe Crimson is being produced in just 100 numbered pieces worldwide. The 14k solid gold nibs for these unique twelve-sided pens are specially manufactured for Taccia by Sailor, renowned for the quality and variety of their nibs.
Our complimentary nib tuning completes the process by adjusting pressure and ink flow to your individual writing specifications. Our optional nib customizations provide for added line-width variation and can make this pen a valuable tool for calligraphy and other skilled handwriting techniques.
The twelve-sided Kaku-Tate is the result of a number of time intensive artisanal manufacturing processes - each cap and barrel is individually turned from natural ebonite hard rubber stock, and each pen is then hand-finished in multiple layers of urushi lacquer. Faceted pens such as the Kaku-Tate provide the perfect showcase for layered finishes, allowing the underlying color to break through at the facet edges.
The Kaku-Tate uses Sailor's convenient cartridge-converter filling system - the pen can fill with any bottled fountain pen ink when fitted with the provided converter, and it can also use Sailor brand disposable ink cartridges. We are an authorized Taccia dealer.
