Nakaya 17mm Portable Cigar Aka-tamenuri
Nakaya's 17mm Portable Cigar Aka-tamenuri fountain pen is a model of simple elegance. The standard size Portable pen has a diameter of 15mm; the additional 2mm is surprisingly significant in adding additional heft and dimension to this pen. The vivid red under-color will become more apparent as the outer layers mature with use over time.
The Nakaya 17mm Portable Cigar Aka-tamenuri fountain pen is handcrafted from ebonite and Urushi lacquer,
and comes standard with the any of the complete range of Nakaya's solid gold 14k nibs.
This Nakaya over-size fountain pen is made from hand-turned ebonite hard rubber which is then layered with Urushi lacquer in the Wajima region of Japan. Ebonite hard rubber is a strong and durable material - vintage fountain pens using this material have lasted for a hundred years and more.

as well as the modification for added flexibility.
