Ebonite is a classic material for quality writing instruments, and the Autumn's Rustle fountain pen has an ebonite barrel which is coated with over 40 layers of Urushi lacquer. Pieces of abalone are inlaid on the surface before the lacquering, adding depth and color to this amber-hued stunner. This time-intensive process takes at least 120 days to complete.
The motif continues even on the gripping section, demonstrating Taccia's excellent attention to detail. With many layers of Urushi lacquer, the finish and section are exceptionally smooth to the touch. Only 50 pieces of Autumn's Rustle are available worldwide, and we have managed to secure a small number for our customers.
This is a relatively lightweight fountain pen, but is perfect for those who prefer a mid-sized writing instrument with presence.
