Namiki Yukari Wave and Plover
Ocean scenes featuring the plover, a migratory seabird, have long been a part of Japanese traditional art, and the Namiki Yukari Wave and Plover realizes this motif in natural urushi lacquer and hand-applied Maki-e technique.
Provided with your choice of 18k solid gold two-tone nib, this pen qualifies for our complimentary nib tuning services, which adjust optimum pressure and ink flow to your own personal preferences. Choose one of our exclusive nib customizations to add additional character and distinctiveness to your writing on the page.
Wave and Plover artist Seiki Chida is part of the Kokkokai collective of Maki-e artisans who provide the specialized finishes to Namiki urushi and Maki-e pens.
The Yukari is a cartridge-converter pen - it can be filled using Pilot brand disposable ink cartridges, or any bottled fountain pen ink when fitted with the provided converter. Each pen ships in a traditionally styled wooden presentation box. We are an authorized Namiki dealer.
