The Waterman Carene Charcoal Grey fountain pen is made of high-quality lacquer with rhodium trim. It is made available with your choice of 18k solid gold rhodium-plated nib.
In French, "Carene" means to incline to one side, like a ship under sail. Looking at the Carene from a side view, you can see the way its uniquely tapered shape appears to mimic a leaning boat. The curvaceous spring-loaded rhodium clip adds to the feeling of motion.
The Carene Charcoal Grey is a mid-size pen that will be a comfortable fit for most users. It can be filled using international size ink cartridges, such as the Pelikan and J. Herbin cartridges we carry, or can be filled with any bottled fountain pen ink using the included converter.
