The Pelikan M700 Statue Of Zeus Limited Edition is being made available in just 300 numbered pieces worldwide. The Zeus motif on the barrel has been realized in 925 sterling silver, and the trim has been plated in 18k rose gold. The pen fills using Pelikan's renowned piston-filler system.
Specially for this edition, the 18k solid gold nib units have also been plated in rose gold. Originally created by the Greek sculptor Phydias in the years 438 to 430 B.C. for the Temple of Zeus at Olympia and known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Statue of Zeus survived as one of the signature works of Greek antiquity until being lost to fire in Constantinople in the fifth century C.E. Its design has been preserved in numerous commemorations created during the classical era on painted vases, jewelry, and sculptural reliefs.
Pelikan pays homage to this lost masterpiece of the ancient world with a limited edition being made available in just 300 numbered pieces worldwide.
