The latest in a series of special limited editions, the Sailor King of Pen Tamenuri Aodame has been produced in just 88 numbered pieces worldwide. We have just two pens remaining in stock, after which no more will be available.

The latest in a series of special Tamenuri limited editions and part of Sailor's exclusive Bespoke Collection, the King of Pen Tamenuri Aodame serves a showcase for this very special layered urushi lacquer finish, which is particularly challenging to produce. Nakaya fans still lament that company's decision to discontinue their own Ao-tamenuri pens several years ago.
Each pen has been hand-turned from natural ebonite hard rubber. Artist Koushu Nishihara hand paints his signature in kanji as well as the limited edition number on each pen.
The King of Pen Tamenuri Midoridame can fill with any bottled fountain pen ink when fitted with the provided converter, and can also use convenient Sailor brand disposable ink cartridges, now available in over thirty different nuanced colors. Each pen ships in a special presentation box, adding to its value and collectibility.
