The Sailor Barcarolle Gloss Red is an authoritative writing instrument which brings some added heft to Sailor's midsize fountain pen offerings. Utilizing the same smooth-writing nibs as Sailor's noted 1911 Midsize and Pro Gear Slim series pens, but with a cap and body fabricated from solid brass, the Gloss Red will be a standard go-to pen for many.
Normally made available only in Fine or Medium, we are able to provide this pen with your choice from among the full range of Sailor 14k solid rhodium-plated nibs. Each pen you purchase from us qualifies for our complimentary nib set-up and optimization service, and Sailor nibs also provide a superb starting point for many of our nib customizations.
The red is proving to be our most popular color, selling out almost immediately with the first shipment.
The solid brass cap and barrel are what adds to the solidity to this Sailor Barcarolle fountain pen which snap together securely with Sailor's clutch system. A definite click lets you know that the cap is secure and it opens with just the right amount of pull.
Sailor's anchor logo is beautifully engraved on the crown of the cap letting you know at a glance what is in the top of your pocket.
The cap band is also engraved with the words, "SAILOR JAPAN FOUNDED 1911", proudly announcing the more than 100 year history of this company.
