Nakaya Briarwood Marquetry Wood Patch
A whimsically designed pen which applies the principles of intentionally weathered Negoro technique to the Briarwood model, the Nakaya Briarwood Marquetry Wood Patch features artfully designed "cracks" on the wood surface of the pen.
The metal cap and barrel under the wood surface ensure that there is no actual structural weakness in the pen body - this technique is all about the simulation of wear and imperfection.
Each Nakaya pen is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Tokyo and in Wajima. The pen can fill using any bottled fountain pen ink when fitted with a converter, provided by us free of charge with your purchase. Convenient disposable Platinum brand ink cartridges can also be used.
Each pen is custom tuned in our workshop to your own personal writing characteristics. Our optional nib customizations can add to the character and distinctiveness of your writing.
Each Nakaya pen ships in a special softwood presentation which features decorative kanji-style script. A fabric pen kimono and starter pack of ink cartridges is included along with the converter. We are an authorized Nakaya dealer.
