Full-bodied in size and streamlined in shape, the Eboya Houga Large Kumpuu Green is the perfect writing instrument for those who prefer a pen with presence. Green and black ebonite creates an impressive motif with a marbled effect.
Each Eboya pen is crafted from hand-polished raw ebonite which has been sustainably harvested from the Asian rubber gum tree. Caps and barrels are hand-turned, and each step of the production process is artisanal - Eboya pens require a minimum of six months to be produced. This writing instrument captures the eye and commands attention.
"Eboya - Made In Tokyo" is machine-engraved on the barrel. The larger shape and size of the Houga Large Kumpuu Green fountain pen allows for extra surface area to showcase the intricate, nuanced finish. Eboya refers to the finish alternatively as "Leafy Wind", and since the marbling pattern suggests movement this seems an apt title.
While the ebonite itself is strong and durable, sheltering this pen from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures will help preserve the polished surface and prevent premature aging. Eboya considers the gradual changes in color and tone that will result in time to be part of the natural seasoning process of this pen.
