This vintage Sheaffer Lifetime Tuckaway Golden Pearl Stripe fountain pen, circa 1942, is fully restored and in immaculate condition for its age. By the way it looks, the gold-filled cap with its military dress code clip could have been made last year. The "Tuckaway" name describes a small-sized pen model with a streamlined oblong shape and a shortened clip, designed for unobtrusive carrying in a shirt pocket. The cap posts securely to make it a full-sized pen in the hand.

This pen sports a large, firm, two-tone solid gold nib with a slightly stubby Fine tip. It writes very well, with a pleasant touch of line variation and pencil-like feedback on the page.

This durable pocket pen has survived for decades, and will serve its next writer for many more. This pre-owned fountain pen is in Excellent to Near Mint condition.
