This is a full-sized and well-balanced pen. Though it is fairly slender, it still has a bit of heft, most of which is found in the cap. It can use convenient Cross brand ink cartridges, or can be filled with any bottled fountain pen ink using the included converter.
A very solid "click" can be heard when putting the cap on. This makes an almost airtight seal between the cap and barrel, which helps prevents early dry-out of the nib. The clutch cap mechanism also allows for the cap to be easily removed when you are ready to write.
