New Celluloid Limited Editions from Visconti and Montegrappa
Has November suddenly become Italian celluloid season? Both Visconti and Montegrappa have just announced new limited edition fountain pens made from handcrafted celluloid, and both sets of pens exemplify the design approach and philosophy of their respective manufacturers.
As might be expected, Visconti uses this classic pen material in a bold and brash design that is bound to turn heads - the Asia Bamboo series, being produced in just 138 numbered pieces each, features stacked slices of alternating black and color celluloid to create writing instruments of startling beauty. Available in Blue, Green, and Red, and with your choice of 23k palladium nib, each pen is retail $995, our price $796.
In equally characteristic fashion, Montegrappa's approach is cool and elegant - the two pens in the new Ferracina series, produced in just 20 numbered pieces each and only available through U.S. retailers, utilize handcrafted celluloid in classic Dark Blue and Shiny Circles patterns. These are pens that typify Montegrappa style and sophistication. Each pen is retail $2000, our price $1600.
Both sets are expected to arrive within the next two weeks, and available quantities will be very limited - we strongly recommend pre-ordering to be assured of receiving the pen and nib combination of your choice. We are an authorized dealer for both Visconti and Montegrappa.
