Waterman's Writing Implements

Item # W-972 is a Waterman's 452 1/2 V, sterling sliver ring top, hand engraved grape vine pattern, c. 1925. This is a small pen, 3 5/8 inches long, capped, and weighing 3.5 grams in excellent condition. The barrel engraving panel has the block initials: "B.D.H." In the period this pen would have hung from a lady's necklace or a gentleman's vest pocket watch chain. The nib is a Waterman's Canada semi-flexible medium. Our price is $250.00 SOLD


Item # W-971 is a Waterman's #52, Canada in BCHR with GFT, c.1924. The decorative GF band on the barrel has an engraving panel with script capital letters "J.H.F.". In near mint condition with crisp chasing, a pristine imprint (see detail below) and no vislble brassing, it is 5 1/4 inches long, capped, and weighs 14.7 grams. The nib if a firm medium left oblique. Our price $275.00 SOLD



Item # W-856 is a Waterman's 52 1/2 V ring top fountain pen in black chased hard rubber and gold filled trim. It has a lever filling system and comes with our custom Fine flex nib.
This pen has a sizable split running from the barrel end toward the lever. It runs 3/4 of the way to the chasing and can just barely be seen on the picture above. We believe it happened at the time of manufacture because there is red wax in the split, applied, we presume at that time.
The crack has no effect on the function of the pen and except for this flaw, the pen is in near mint condition. It is 4 1/4 inches long and weighs 9 grams. The very flexible nib is more flexible than any stock fountain pen on the market today. Our Price: $150.00

Item # W-969 is a Waterman's #52 1/2 V, Canada, ring top, Red Ripple Hard Rubber (RRHR) with GFT, c. 1926. In near mint condition with a crisp imprint, no visible brassing, vivid colors, and the original white wax still embedded in the number on the bottom of the barrel, this pen is quite small, at 4 1/4" long, and weighs only 10 grams. The nib is an original .8mm italic with our custom added semi-flexibility. Our price $250.00 SOLD

Item # W-968 is a Waterman's #O752 1/2, Canada, in BCHR with GFT, c. 1923. The wide GF barrel band is, so far, unadorned. In near mint condition with crisp chasing, a pristine imprint (see below) and no visible brassing, this pen is 5 1/4 inches long, capped, and weighs 11.2 grams. The bladder filling system has been fully restored and the Waterman's #2 Canada extra fine semi-flexible nib is ready for the hand of a skilled writer. Our price $275.00 SOLD

Item # W-967 is a Waterman's 52 1/2, in BCHR with a gold-filled clip and a nickle-plated lever. Circa 1023. Both barrel and cap are in near mint condition although the trims are not a match. The barrel's original price sticker is still firmly in place, as shown above and in the detail below. The Waterman's New York #2 extra fine nib has our superflex customization. Item #W-966 Waterman's 52 1/2 V ring top in BHR with GFT, ca.1928. In very good condition with one short (2mm) scratch neear the lever and several very minor mars just above the cap band, this is a relatively small pen, only 4 1/4 inches long, weighing 9.20 grams.

Item # W-956, a Waterman's #412 1/2, is black hard rubber with a silver filigree overlay. The cap is clipless. An eye dropper filler with a Waterman's New York #2 flexible extra fine nib, this is a slender pen at 0.327 inches wide. Capped it is 4 11/16 inches long and weighs 8.40 grams. In near mint condition, the hard rubber is still brilliantly black and shiny under the silver filigree, which shows no dents or dings and the engraving panel is untouched. Our price: $525.00


Item # W-684 is a Waterman's No. 52 1/2 pen in black chased hard rubber and has a lever filling system. It comes with a #2 fine flex nib. This pen is in excellent condition with crisp chasing and imprints. The red color is still visible in the 52 1/2 number impressed into the back of the pen. If not for the two 2.46 mm plier marks on the section, this pen would be in near mint condition. This Waterman's 52 1/2 is a slender pen at only 0.377 inches wide. It has an average length of 5.34 inches capped and weighs 10.2 grams.

Item # 857 is a Waterman's 52 Red ripple fountain pen ca. 1928 with gold filled trim and a lever filling system. This classic pen comes with our custom Fine flex nib. It is a little over 5 1/4 inches long capped and weighs 15 grams. With some brassing on the lever, the cap band and the ball of the clip it is in very good condition. The nib on this pen is more flexible than anything on the market today. Our Price: $349.00 SOLD


Item# W-852 is a Waterman's # 52V ca. 1927 in black chased hard rubber and with a nickel plated lever and pocket clip. The stiff Fine/Medium manifold nib produces a consistent line. This pen is only 4 3/8 inches long capped and weighs 12 grams. It is in near mint condition. The barrel is double imprinted and extremely crisp. The barrel end imprint still shows the factory red wax used to highlight the model number "52V". Our Price: $175.00

Item # W-853 is a mint-condition Waterman's 52 1/2V made of black chased hard rubber (BCHR) with nickel-plated trim (NPT) and a Extra-Fine nib. A lever fill pen, with a vintage sticker ca. 1924, it was designed to fit in a vest pocket. At only 4.25 inches long capped, and weighing 10 grams, this pen is perfect for a shirt pocket even in today's world. Our price $249.00 SOLD


Item #850 is a Waterman's Emblem, Black with GFT, circa 1944. In excellent condition with no cracks or major scratches, the only mars keeping us from rating this one as near mint are the several small indentations near the end of the clip, visible in the scan above. Measuring 5.10" long, capped, and weighing 17.3 grams, this is a largish standard-size pen. The lever-filling system has been restored and the custom flexible Broad Left Oblique nib is ready to perform beautifully in the hand of an experienced writer. $295.00

Item # W-973 is a Waterman's Canada, golden brown resin, GFT, circa 1940. At 5" long, capped, and weighing 14.5 grams, it is in excellent condition. The bladder filling sytem has been restored and the Waterman's Canada semi-flexible fine nib is ready to write for many more years. Our price $145.00 SOLD

Item # W-851 is a mint-condition Waterman's #54, ca. 1925, made of black chaste hard rubber and with nickel-plated trim. It has our custom Fine/Medium Flex nib. The chasing is still crisp and the number "54" imprint on the bottom of the pen still shows the original red wax of the manufacturer. (The "5" is code for the lever filler and the "4" indicates the #4 nib.) This full length pen is 5.40 inches capped and weighs 15.3 grams. Our price $295.00 SOLD
