Sailor The Four Seasons of Mount Fuji Limited Edition
These are the Special Limited Edition of the Sailor Four Seasons of the Mount Fuji. Each one is individually numbered. They are available in the four piece collection or individually.
The Four Seasons of Mount Fuji are painted on the King of Pen ebonite body . We had anticipated this turn of events when all the trim was removed from the King of Pen. This gives the artist a larger field on which to work. There are only 50 pieces of each pen throughout the world. Each is hand painted in Kaga Maki-e by Ishyu Tamura, and is available with 21K gold Nagahara Cross Point nib. We can provide and/or customize any of the nibs that are available for this King of Pen. For an understanding of the size and other specifications for this pen please visit our Pen Measurements Page and look for the Sailor King of Pen.

Below is a brief description of each of the pens.
Spring "Ouka-Fuji" This design depicts the famous Cherry blossom (Sakura) against the green Spring freshness of Mt. Fuji's slopes.
Summer "Ryu-en -Fuji" This design shows the darting swallows and the blue willow trees in full leaf with cascading streams on a golden landscape.
Fall "Kouyou- Fuji" This picture captures the powerful colors of the Autumn showing flame red maple leaves against the mountain scape.
Winter "Sessho- Fuji" This story depicts the stark Winter landscape with the snow speckled pine trees with the flying cranes over the mountain landscape.

The Togi Cross nib, seen below and to the left is hand made. In the tradition of Sailor custom nibs, this one writes fine when held vertically and very broad when held at a low angle. The cross strokes are even broader than the vertical strokes. It delivers a fluid and juicy ink flow, somewhat like a fine sumi-e brush.

This nib represents the highest level of hand craftsmanship in nib making today.

Notice the stacked tines. They create four different writing surfaces and more than twice the amount of space for ink to flow to the paper.

Each pen is signed and numbered by master Maki-e artist Ishyu Tamura.

It is important to note that this is the first of the limited edition pens on the King of Pen body. Often, the first issue, especially when it is released in such small numbers, goes on to become very collectible. We are taking orders now. Note that there are only 50 of these pens worldwide. We hope to get one or two more of these sets.

Please note that the first set (#11) took five months before we had it in our hands. We expect future sets to take the same amount of time. If you want one, you must be patient.

Retail price for the set is $36,750.00
