Sailor Creatures Of The Deep Limited Edition
The Clownfish
The Creatures of the Deep - "Kumanomi" Clownfish is the most playful of the Creatures series, the Clownfish appears to weave and dart between bubbles of pearl and eel grass painted of gold. There are ten Creatures in this series of which we have all. They are the Clownfish seen here, the Octopus, the hammerhead Shark , the Whale, the Moray Eel, the Sunfish, the Sea Turtle, the Penguin, the Seahorse and the Manta Ray.
This pen is an aquarium in the hand, with little events occurring in surprising places.

Gold and silver flakes shimmer on the orange color of the Clownfish like the reflection off of wet scales.

Bubbles of gold dust, gold paint and reflective shell rise from swaying grasses.

Though light in subject matter, the Clownfish reveals the strength of this Maki-e artist's playful hand.

This pen comes with a Sailor Fine nib, and we have found it to be a wonderful writer.

The 21K nib in the Creatures of the Deep edition is the same size nib as in the 1911 pens, so we can offer it in the complete Sailor range.

The Clownfish arrives in a wood presentation box which includes ink and a Warranty Certificate, signed by the artist.

Thick golden grass wrap around the end of the barrel, anchoring the pen.

There are only 88 pieces in this edition. Currently we have the complete set #16/88.

As with all limited edition Maki-e fountain pens, the Clownfish has been signed and numbered on the barrel of the fountain pen by the artist, Koushu Nishihara.

Each pen retails for $1200.00. Because with are an official Sailor dealer we ask that you call for our price: 323-655-2641. Or email: info@nibs.com.
