Waterman Fountain Pens
Founded in New York in 1884 and noted for its early development
of a successful feed system, Waterman was one of the
giants of the pen industry during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Though upstart companies like Wahl-Eversharp and Sheaffer would soon
challenge its dominance, it nonetheless remained a noted manufacturer
of elegant and eminently usable fountain pens well past World War
II. A French subsidiary continues operations to this day. When you
buy an American Waterman, you are acquiring not just a terrific writing
instrument, but also a living relic of the history of fountain pens...
