| This the same model as the standard Pilot 823 but with a clear barrel and cap. This way you can clearly see not only how much ink is left, but how this amazing filler works. | ||

| Based on the same filling principle as Sheaffer's employed in the 1930's, this updated and stronger system uses a vacuum behind the piston to fill this pen. At the bottom of the "down-stroke", the vacuum is released drawing ink up into the barrel. As well, by tightening the "blind cap", the black cap on the end of the barrel the ink is sealed inside. Only by turning this cap can writing commence. This helps prevent leaks. | ||
