We will be bringing a wide selection of pens from Nakaya, Sailor, Pilot, and more to the the 2015 Los Angeles International Pen Show, be held at the Manhattan Beach Marriott on President’s Day weekend, February 12-15. This is your opportunity to try out Nakaya Urushi pens, write with Sailor Specialty Nibs, and experience John's unique Spencerian customization.
Our Nakaya Desk Pen displays allow you to try out the full range of all Nakaya standard stock nibs, ranging in tip size from Extra-Extra-Fine to Extra Broad, as well as examples of all John's major customizations such as Stub, Cursive Italic, and Architect's Point. Samples of all other Nakaya pen models and colors will also be on hand. Many Sailor Specialty Nibs will be available for try-out, and examples of John's now-famous Spencerian customization as seen on YouTube will be available on Pilot Falcon, Custom 912, and Justus series pens.
All pens at our table will be available for sale, and John will be on hand on all four days to do set-ups and nib swaps on pens and nib units purchased from us. John will also have limited availability Thursday through Saturday to perform minor repairs and adjustments on pens not originally purchased from us - please note that due to the volume of visitors to our table on Sunday, he will not be available for work on outside pens on that day.
A Trader ticket, allowing for admission on all four days of the show, costs $65 and is highly recommended for those looking to spend significant time at the table. On Sunday only, General Admission tickets are available for $7.00. For more information, visit the LA Pen Show web site.
Even if you aren't in town for the show, you can still take part in our own virtual pen show - staff is available in the shop special weekend hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Pacific on Saturday, February 14th and Sunday, February 15th only to answer questions and take orders.
