Pelikan M910 Toledo Red

With a finely-engraved design of squares, circles and traditional Pelikan motifs this Toledo pen is startlingly red. Each barrel sleeve is hand engraved following the tradition of goldsmiths in Toledo, Spain.

Similar in design to the Pelikan M900 (in gold) this fountain pen will be appreciated by those who like silver. The only difference in measurements between this M910 and the M800 series is the weight. This red Toledo weighs 38.5 grams where the M800 weighs 25.6 grams. The biggest difference of course is the silver barrel sleeve.

Notice the intricate detail carved into the silver.

A parent and child Pelikan are in relief on one side of the barrel (image to the right) To the left we see a Pelikan feeding.

"Ag 925" is engraved on the cap band, as well at the bottom of the barrel, authenticating the silver content of the metal.
Notice the transparent grey ink window, below, which tells the writer when it's time to refill the pen with ink.

This fountain pen is available with any Pelikan M800 size 18K two tone nib: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Double Broad (BB), Triple Broad (3B), Oblique Medium (OM), Oblique Broad (OB), OBB, and O3B nibs which we can customize to stub, cursive italic or crisper cursive oblique for an additional $55.00.

We received this email from a customer on December 7th, 2007 about the red Toledo:

“…The red of the Toledo is definitely bright when the pen is closed and will take me some getting used to. In a good way. The pen is not only beautiful, but it writes so smoothly and comfortably. When I wrote with it for the first time I noticed that the unposted pen looks much more understated. An interesting combination of looks within the same pen. I put the medium cursive italic nib…on the Toledo and am excited the nib has its own pen now. The original fine nib is back on the Gaudi, so I can enjoy writing regularly with both nibs without needing to put one away. …

Many thanks for two more beautiful pens and nibs that write so smoothly and enjoyably. It is always such a pleasure to buy pens and customized nibs from you. …

All the best,
Aimee
