Pelikan M800 Italic Fountain Pen

Pelikan's recent introduction of a stock italic nib unit has created a wave of renewed interest in the popular M800 series fountain pens. Though made available by Pelikan only in the Black, Green Stripe, and Blue Stripe versions of this pen, we can set this nib on any M800 pen body for no additional charge above the normal cost of the pen with nib.

This fountain pen is presented in a blue gift box with a bilingual booklet (English and German). The booklet details the art of writing and includes some easy-to-follow examples. For this edition of the Souveran 800, the nib is marked as IB (Italic Broad), with the broadest line width corresponding to approximately 1.5mm. This nib provides a smooth writing experience, but is more rounded and provides less line-width variation than one of John's customizations to cursive italic. The setup seen on this video is part of our usual nib preparation for customers and comes without any additional charge with any pen or nib purchase from us. If you wish to increase the amount of line-width variation you get from this stock italic nib, our customizations for formal or cursive italic or for left oblique are available for just $55 extra. Pelikan M800 Blue o' Blue Special Edition

Pelikan Blue o' Blue The 'o' is short for 'over' because the barrel looks as if several broad strokes of blue in different shades are put one over another. Both barrel and cap are made of this slightly translucent material. For more details and images click here.

M805 Black with silver trim

This Pelikan M805 is very formal in black resin and white metal. This pen, as well as all those below, takes the entire range of M800 nibs from extra-fine to triple broad and is highly suited to stub, italic and oblique customization. At just over 5 1/2" long, capped, with a barrel diameter of a full 1/2", the pens in this series are slightly larger than standard. M805 Blue Stripe with silver trim

The only difference between this pen and the M800 Blue, pictured below, is the silver trim.

	This is Pelikan's RED! It is now available in the M800, M600 and M400 sizes. Although the pen comes stock with an 18K nib unit, we can do any modification you would like to the points: italic, stub or oblique. We do not encourage adding flex to these 18K nibs. $575.00. Our Price: $460.00

No Longer Available

M850 Green with vermeil cap

We have, once again, managed to acquire a few of these out-of-production 800 size pens with vermeil caps (gold over sterling silver). They are NOS (New Old Stock) and come with presentation box and papers. The barrel can be the traditional Green stripe, as above, or solid Black. If your color preference is more daring you might want to try this gold cap with a Blue Stripe or even Red Stripe barrel. The full range of 18K nibs, EF to O3B, is available. The M805 solid blue with silver trim has been discontinued and is no longer available through our US distributor.
