The demonstrator fountain pen has a long history. It was first employed at sales counters in order to explain the inner workings and mysteries of pen technology to the lay customer. These vintage pens have become extremely collectible and occupy a prized place in pen museums.
Pelikan's superb engineering is on full display here. This filling system, which allows the pen to use any bottled fountain pen ink, has been an industry standard since the 1930's.

Really smooth nib - glides on premium and not so premium paper. This is my second Pelikan (the other being the M1000). The Engraving on the clear model is very nice - Looks really sharp! As always, Nibs.com handled transaction perfectly, and shipped quickly. Highly recommended.
